I've made up a new word to describe my last few weeks. I have busily been trying to De-Busy myself :) It dawned on me the other day when I sat down to think about why I wasn't performing well in a particular area. It's called:
* Full time wife
* Stay at home mom, 2 boys, one of whom is developing his little personality quite a bit
* Young Women President, 8 girls, two big fundraisers in next two weeks
* Visiting Teacher, 3 women
* BYU-Idaho Ambassador, 5 presentations in 2 months, one more to go
* Silicon Valley Women board member, just finished one big presentation
* Spanish Class teacher and participant, weekly
* Piano teacher to 7 students, recital coming up in 3 weeks
* Member of the YMCA (currently on hold), all sorts of excuses/reasons I'm not there yet
* Consultant for Heritage Makers, one huge project coming up in two weeks
* Photographer-in-training, photo shoot training coming up in June (stay tuned!)
* Friend
* Cook
* Cleaner
* Potty-Trainer
* Discipliner
Did I get them all? haha Anyway, I hear all about us over-scheduling ourselves and our kids--but I never thought it'd happen to me. I don't think of it as over-scheduling; I see it as keeping us all entertained so we don't get bored. The hard part about all of my roles and assignments is that I love them so much. Everytime I think of dropping one--I just can't do it, I am invested emotionally and socially to each one (which is why I started each one in the first place).
Do iI get tired? Yes. but do I love it? yes. Am I complaining? No. Just giving my excuses as to why I haven't blogged in weeks now! haha
