Day 3

This was tonight's conversation between Paco and I as I walked in the door around 8 pm tonight.

"I am officially starving, is it Sunday yet?" -CMV

"You end on Sunday?" -Paco

"or tomorrow!" -CMV

"What? Don't give up!" -Paco

"Why not?" -CMV

"Because you can do this! You can't stop half way through it; and besides, what are you going to say on the blog?" -Paco

I laughed and then responded with "Oh, I've been thinking about what to say ALLLL day!"

So yes, it's official: I'm Hungry!! (but not quitting!) haha Actually, let me expound:

I realized through this experiment that food is my life. My whole day is based around food, that's what a stay at home mom does, she makes food full-time! Breakfast for the family, lunch for dad to take to work, snack before lunch, lunch for the kids and myself, then an afternoon snack, then start making dinner before dad comes home, then paco and I often enjoy something light together while the kids are asleep and we are enjoying the quiet. This repeats exactly the same every day...I"m constantly around food. At first it didn't bother me, but today was especially hard.

As long as I stay on top and keep drinking frequently--it seems to fight the hunger for another 2 hours till I take another drink. That's the great thing about this cleanse--you can drink as much and as often as you want. it recommends 6-10 a day. yesterday I barely had 6 and today I'm sure I hit 10! haha

So, stay with me folks...three days left. I'm half way through. We are having friends over for dinner Sunday night and I thought that would be the perfect excuse to end early...but I guess I'll just have to look busy so they don't notice me not eating (and actually stick with my goal!). haha

So the lesson I learned tonight: Opinions count! Had my husband said, "yeah, go ahead and start eating, it's no big deal" then I totally would have. It reminded me of something I run into at church all the time. I talk to the moms about their daughters coming to mutual and they say, "Okay I'll ask her if she wants to go." or "I'll see what she says" I'm like...uh...we both already know what she's going to say! Give her an opinion for goodness sakes. Encourage her to go (or don't give her an option--which is what we will do with our kids!) :)

Paco, thanks for your opinion and for being supportive of my crazy whims! (and for the record--he's thinking of doing the cleanse next!) See, I'm not totally crazy!! :)

  2. I'm glad to hear you're human. :) I was beginning to wonder. I'm glad your going to finish strong, I like hearing the update. And I too, am glad its you and not me!

Way to go Christine, you've got to do it, so you don't disappoint your fans.

  3. I would like to do this sometime, but i have zero interest in the salt water part at all. That just seems gross. I'll be reading to see how it all goes. Do you still feel like you have energy?

  4. Yes, I forgot to mention that I gave up the salt water rinse yesterday--two days was enough! In place of the rinse you can do the herbal laxative tea again. So I do the laxative (which doesn't taste bad at all) in the morning and again before bed. I feel like it's way smoother on my system anyway. That salt water is harsh (and nasty!)
And yes, still have energy. I'm still working out every morning and I don't need to take naps or anything during the day (which I had been doing before going on the cleanse)
