Ending the cleanse

I got a little behind due to travel, etc. and I'm sure you're all dying to hear about the end of the cleanse.

So I ended it Sunday with my last bit of maple syrup and lemon. Monday I started with Orange juice. I should only have drinken OJ all day, but around 5 pm I was officially STARVING. At least the lemon drink took my hunger away--but oj just wasn't doing the trick. So I cheated. I boiled some carrots and got started. BIG MISTAKE. My stomach was pretty much screaming at me and it was not comfortable at all. I couldn't help it though I was so hungry that day (and all out of maple syrup, otherwise I would've just made more of the lemon drink). Tuesday was the same. We were going to be driving to LA, so I bought some cashews and orange juice for the trip. The peanuts seemed to hold me over just fine. Wednesday I kept to the same diet, peanuts and orange juice and then grapes. Then by Thursday dinner--I was just fine. It all worked out in the end!

Oh, and for those of you thinking you'll do this for weight loss--dont bother! haha As soon as I ate those carrots on Monday night, my invisible stomach was right back where it was. It was crazy. I immediately was bloated and looked like I did beforehand--and it hasn't changed. So yeah, it was fun while it lasted, but all gone! haha

Overall thoughts of the cleanse:
I probably won't do it again. I didn't feel like it was this body changing experience where I felt so clean and good and refreshed, etc. I pretty much just felt hungry and had to keep convincing myself not to eat. I do think I eat less now though. I had small servings for dinner last night and felt full. Today I haven't hardly eaten much either. I'm sure in the longrun this will be helpful, we'll see :)

Would I recommend it? Sure, why not. It didnt do me any harm. I felt pretty good while I was doing it. I do feel a sense of accomplishment after completing the diet (even if I ended it wrong).

So there ya go. Hope you all enjoyed a yummy Thanksgiving dinner and more importantly--a good time with loved ones.
