I did it. After two weeks of sitting on the couch feeling miserable, I finally had a morning where I felt like I could get in a run. I only had time for one mile, as we were running to Sammys baseball game, but it felt GREAT! For those 10 minutes I actually felt "normal" again. The wind on my face, the feelings in my body, it was amazing. I couldn't believe what I was feeling. It sounds weird...but it was a special moment for me. Two weeks without running has been just as hard mentally as it has been physically. I hate being sick :(
Ode to the new week. I am feeling optimistic that this week I might feel better :)
oh, Christine... I'm so sorry you are sick. I felt the worst I'd ever felt when I was pregnant with Gracie... I finally couldn't take it anymore and got a script for some anti nausea meds. It made SUCH a difference. I hope you feel better soon, but if not... don't hesitate to get some meds ;)
ReplyDeleteI think you've heard about Valary's unisom+vitaman b trick, in fact didn't she hear it from you?
ReplyDeleteAnd you won't regret sticking to the exercise. I only exercised during my third pregnancy and it was by far my best one! After I got over morning sickness I felt strong and energized for all except the last two weeks. It is amazing what a little exercise can do.
