I got tagged

I got tagged by Sadie...

Here are the rules:
Link the Person who Tagged you.
Mention rules on your blog.
Tell about 6 quirks of yours.
Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same.
Leave a comment to let them know.

So first of all, I have to admit that this is my first "tag" although I've heard of them before, and I had to read the directions more than once to clarify.

So I guess I have to write 6 quirks...(normally I would ignore a request like this, but since Sadie is probably one who reads my blog the most...I owe it to her) haha :)

Quirk #1 Clean Ears
I'm totally stealing Sadie's on this one--but we are identical on this subject. I have been cleaning my ears twice a day (morning and night) for over 10 years now. Doctors strongly advise against it, but I can't seem to stop the addiction. I clean Sammy's ears (with Q-Tips...I know, totally against all doctors orders) at least once a week. Paco doesn't even know this--but I checked out his ears before we got married. Obviously, he passed :) I mean honestly---who could fall asleep with someone who has nasty buildup crawling out of his ears! ooh gross. I've seen it on some people and it's enough to make me yack.

Quirk #2 Painted toe nails
I have had nail polish on my toes for as long as I can remember...maybe 15 years or more? Never missing a day. If I change colors--it's the same day, I never let them "breathe". The real issue is I have issues with ugly feet (I think 99% of us have ugly feet) and I think that nail polish is at least one simple way to help make them less ugly. :) And...the polish stays on for weeks at a time, very low maintenance required.

Quirk #3 Small Email Inbox
I can't stand having more than a few emails in my inbox. Thanks to Gmail, this is now possible. I archive EVERYTHING since I know I can easily pull it up when I really need it. I guess I like to read them and respond to them immediately and it makes me feel like I've accomplished something :)

Quirk #4 Airborn Flute skills
I don't even know how to describe this one--but I'll try.
It's like I pretend that my thumb is a flute in my hand and I play the notes to a song on my thumb with my fingertips. Normally I do it with just one hand, but sometimes if I'm really into a song I'll do it with both. I rarely catch myself doing it--it's totally subconscious--but roommates and Paco have caught me and asked me what on earth I'm doing. Someday you can ask me to demonstrate! :)

Quirk #5 Clean sink
The whole house could be in disarray, but as long as I have the dishes clean and the sink is clean--I feel at peace :) I take extra pride in cleaning it out after I do the dishes and even squirting it with a bleach mixture afterwards so that it has that nice bleachy clean smell.

Quirk #6 Clean car
It's a rare day that you'll find junk scattered in my car or in my trunk. Sure you might find a few cheerios on Sammy's car seat, but even that is rare. I take pride in keeping my car very clean on the inside (and try to do so on the outside too). Not only does it make the car look nicer and me feel better, but supposedly keeps people from trying to steal stuff from inside. The staples you will always find though are: an extra blanket nicely folded in the back window, a map in the back of the passenger's seat, and sun protector things folded up nicely beside the driver's seat.

I am opting to break the rules and not tag anyone else...but hopefully this gave you something to read on an extremely boring day! :)

  1. Thanks Christine! I have to say, I don't feel like I even know you. I mean, I thought we spent a lot of time together... but it must not have been enough for me to see the flute skills. :)

Hope the next few weeks are wonderful... and all the weeks after too. :)
