This morning I had my 26 week check up. Good news--I may be scheduled for the c-section one week earlier (bringing me up to Dec 2). Bad news--supposedly I have gained 16 pounds in two months. Seems almost impossible. Friends who see me regularly, please tell me if I look like I've gained that much--because I certainly don't feel it.
ANYWAY--due to my depression of the scale this morning--we had a nice talk about running during pregnancy. I had just assumed that i couldn't run this far into the pregnancy (duh, did I really assume that or was it a good excuse to be lazy and stop running?) not sure. But I have full approval to start running again. I have been walking the past two weeks taking sammy to school (2 miles per day) but my heart rate isn't fast enough to really burn calories. SO--tomorrow it's a run. The weather is perfect at 8 am when I take him to school, and I'm already i my workout gear--so I'm gonna do it. I'm SUPER SUPER SUPER excited. Why on earth did I stop? ugh. Anyway, that's the update.
Yay! I am super excited that you can keep running. I ran until I was about 5 months... and then sciatica took over my life. I wish I could have continued, but just walking put me in enough pain that it just wasn't an option. I'm happy you get to keep going. And, I don't know if you remember this, but you were still body surfing and running up until the day before you gave birth to Sammy. :) I don't think I'll ever forget that. :)
